Automatic VAT and Invoicing for Braintree

We’re proud that Quaderno offers a seamless integration with Braintree. When you receive a payment or send a refund, Quaderno handles these invoices and receipts automatically. When you sell to a customer in the EU, the accurate VAT can be automatically calculated and collected.

What does this mean for you?

You never have to think about invoicing or EU VAT once you set up the Quaderno + Braintree integration.

Not only will Quaderno produce and send beautiful, 100% customizable invoices on your behalf, we’ll save these records digitally for as long as you need them. (For EU VAT, you must save them for ten years!)

And not only will Quaderno automatically determine your customer’s location and charge the correct VAT rate, but we’ll also provide instant tax reports for all EU countries and more! With the click of a button, you have all the information you need to file your tax returns in a few minutes.

With that in mind, we feel pretty good that we can take at least some of that weight off our customers by offering EU VAT compliance for Braintree.

Here’s how to set it up!

1. Log into your Quaderno account and go to Integrations. Click on Braintree.

2. Sign into your Braintree account using your Braintree credentials.

3. On the next screen, you simply need to allow Quaderno to connect to your Braintree account. Click Authorize access.

4. That’s it! Your Braintree charges will be automatically imported, so those records will show up in your Quaderno account.

Other tidbits:

Customizing the billing information on your receipts take a little more setup, but not much. When you create the Braintree Customer on your back-end, just fill in the billing address fields, and those will automatically populate on your receipts.

To make sure your EU VAT compliance is set up completely, you’ll need to set the customer’s IP address in Braintree custom fields. This information confirms where the customer is located. (Quaderno will collect other customer data automatically!)
